We can obviously go after which ever players we see fit in a performance like this. The worry for me is how we are set up. We look tactically naive and a team as comfortable as City are finding us easy to play against. That’s on the coach. The Madrid and Villa performances are looking like the outliers and the norm is this.Modifying post.

Seems like a waste of money. If not him, ekiteke. Not both were needed?? Unless they are competing for same position given wirtz signed as he didn't want to play lw but as a 10 show now finds himself as a lw.. Disjointed. Hughes and co fkd this up. Too much free candy in candystore this time..Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostFFS we spent enough on Isak - get him on. If he's fit enough to be on the bench, he's fit enough to play.Substance > Style

could pick on almost every player today but Slot has been out classed here from the opening mins and has had no answers. City will rarely have such a comfortable games against us. Our defence and wide areas are really concerning. Back to reality for us.

This is my issue - it's not been right since the Carabao cup final.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWe can obviously go after which ever players we see fit in a performance like this. I have a LOT of doubt around Slot - not the best time to discuss it in detail, let's see what we look like at Xmas, once we get onto this better run if fixtures post Nov break
It's no shame to lose at City, but I'm still not clear 1) what the long-term plan is, and 2) why our structure & pressing has fallen off a cliff this season

Yes, I'm increasingly of the same opinion. In the commentary they're talking about our players looking tired - even before half time. That just can't be so - are they all suffering from long covid?Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWe can obviously go after which ever players we see fit in a performance like this.
