Now Madrid have pulled the plug on konate he will actually put in a shift to show he has the ability.
What has been missing is his commitment and concentration.

    Am I just being hopeful
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Well if the Madrid move is off the table he's got alot of work to do to show he's worth the sort of wages he thinks he is To be honest I don't think I would be offering him a new contract at the moment based on his performances this season

BTW What about PSG? Wasn't there talk a while back about Madrid or PSG, the Madrid stuff came to the front, would PSG still be interested

To be honest, so long as there is an improvement in effort and energy levels, I could accept a loss in this one, tricky away fixture and all. But the slow, laborious build up, shuffling across the back, that needs to go.

Surely if there is an improvement in energy and effort, we don’t lose? Given the gap in talent

We should give the players a good badge to wear for trying hard

I don't know if this is sarcasm, but how the ****ting death is that going back to basics

To my mind, our main issues are Salah and Gakpo not playing as wide midfielders and our defence being too high and ****e

Gravy should stay as a DM dropping back to cover when a fullback goes upfield

I'd love to see Gomez over Konate, Szoboslai at RB, Chiesa at RM/RW and Wirtz at LM/LW. Mac and Jones as centre mids
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Since when hasn't he been reliable? Or is that wrapped up in not fit?

Personally I think you have to draw the line somewhere and say that these levels of performance aren't acceptable. I know that we don't have many options but starting Gomez and playing him for an hour (if that's all he can) then putting Gravenberch there for the final 30 mins (as we've basically been doing in most games with Konate anyway), would send him a message and hopefully give him the kick up the arse that he needs. I am rapidly running out of patience with Konate, and judging by the reactions of some of the players so are they. The 3rd(?) goal was schoolboy stuff from him and it's happened many times this season.

We have to sign a CB as soon as the window opens, hopefully we have got something agreed

We’re not that good that we can give the oppos a man advantage and still beat them - far from it at the moment!
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

I would say since always, except for the 2018/19 season.

I think at the moment we could play with an extra man and still find a way to lose comfortably

I just want to see something different.

A different formation or style of play. Change some of the usual players who are underperforming. And if he wants to stick with the same players change them around. Swap Gakpo and Salah around and try playing wingers the old way.

The first thing that needs to be do like others have said is for Gravenberch to play as a 6 and protect that defence. Back to some of the basics and get the defence sorted before you worry about the attack right now. Be difficult to beat and score against and play ugly for a while. Well a good ugly not the bad ugly we see right now.
