I really dont like kerkez positioning at rb when they attack, he doesn't close down enough.
He's allowing too much space for the winger to get around him or play a pass.

It's obviously a tactical change, and I like the width it gives us, but we're not using it enough. Defensively, grav is dropping back into a back 3 so we should have enough cover, fingers crossed. This looks like a more coherent system but one that we need to play our way into a bit.

Both fullbacks are 20 yards further forward than usual. We can't demand change and then grumble at it Give it a chance.

That was more like it. Nice work between szlobo (might back been macca) and Wirtz, decent cross towards Isak. Sounds like a plan.

There is a better balance and shape than there has been. The two midfielders are being more disciplined and it’s allowing Wirtz more space in the areas he wants the ball. And less open areas for any long balls from West Ham.

Considering the form it’s an improvement.

It was. It wasn't great, but we've tried to add width from the fullbacks and the switch to a back three seems to be working pretty well. Wirtz has been pretty involved and they've not managed to get bowen involved. Decent. It looks like something we could work on and improve.

But we are probably pretty mentally frigile, if they blag a goal, God knows what happens.

Interesting that having Dom stay wider and not having other midfielders playing higher up is letting Wirtz play much better. Let him dominate that space.
