This team is our preferred opponent. Wide open. If only English teams played like this, we'd walk the league.

Yup.Originally posted by peterbread View PostAm I right that Frimpong rarely had injuries before he came to Liverpool? That cant just be down to adjusting to the league. What happened to him?
He's bulked up (4kg) and that's always a risky thing in elite sport. More demanding league.
It looked like a groin sprain to me, the grade will define the absence but it could be a lengthy one.

Nah, can’t agree with that.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostAll the Frimpong injury does is justify the substitution at the weekend.
He was in the red zone then, he was in the red zone today. Today we took the risk. And he got injured.
If the model said he would last 2 mins there is no way they would have had him in the starting 11. The model is not all that. The conversation was about Kerkez coming off at half time against Bournemouth.
It would have been better if Frimpong had played the full 90 in the last game - he wouldn’t have started tonight, and we would not have used a sub and had to change tactics. We are here for a good time not a long time....

'The model' didn't say he'd last 2 mins! The point is, he was in the red zone the whole while. We stuck to subbing him at the weekend (despite the game state) to try and reduce the risk of playing him again tonight. He could also have been injured if we'd left him on at the weekend.Originally posted by Cerbie View PostNah, can’t agree with that.
