I thought that was an odd one, usually you give your 2nd choice GK cup games especially if he has come in for a not insignificant fee. Also it would of got some minutes under his belt for this situation...

Nah a back up keeper is not going to get those games in a team that was misfiring badly earlier on and that is still prone to the odd wobble.

He is a very good keeper but in Ali we have an established world class keeper that knows how all the centre backs we have play and that has game time experience with all of them.

Slot erring on the side of caution, given the circumstances, makes sense.

Id like to see Gomez at right back. More solid imo and more experienced but it will be a very hard choice for Arne of JoGo isn't able to play the full game.

Id like to see Wirtz play on the left......with 3 central midfielders of Grav, Mac and szoboslai.....

On the right wing, id like to see Frimpong but it'll be Salah..... with Ekitike up front.
