Based on the squad of players we've got. What super-duper new tactics is the new man going to employ? If we lack fitness he's not going to have enough time to sort that out as the season is nearly over - do you think the players want to be run into the ground with the high-pressing game? I think they are perfectly happy with the tactics that are being used, giving them a much easier time of it - they are not a team of bucking broncos that are chomping at the bit to be set free.

I don't think we were great last season either, the major difference is we got results. And a huge spending spree in the summer has led us to this; Declining players, and players that are not contributing as much as they should be. I don't think the squad is cut out for the high-energy pressing game that everyone is clamouring for.

That is what is very annoying both today and for a lot of games this season. Opposition team haven't even had to play well to ****in do us over.

If Jurgen would come in right now, then we should be all over that. I think there have been little noises about this.....when he said something on Steven Bartlets podcast along the lines of "well I couldn't say that I wanted a year out" that showed me that this would have been a potential possibility. In his recent comments he has spoken about how he might manage again too...... we should give him a blank cheque ffs. Especially before there is a managerial merry-go-round in the summer.

If we end up in September with Slot as our coach, with Alonso at Man City and Jurgen at either Madrid or the German national team role, then we'd have really ****ed up imo

But we barely press at all. Do you not think we could play in a similar fashion to last year? Our problems are 90% tactical imho.

Wont stop the opposition waltzing though our lines.

I do agree we miss Diaz' work rate. But if he was in the team it would have dropped same as everyone else in the team.

This is a tactical decision. Slot thinks you can be a top side without pressing. Perhaps you can if you have the best players in the world in every position.

To make up that difference you have to work your bollocks off, or other teams will do the same to you, as we have found out.

We cant really compete at Premier League level playing this way.

We could still revert to last seasons klopp/slot hybrid style.
