Chiesa is a squad depth player that rarely gets played. Jones is a back up player that gets injured a lot. Robertson is a squad cover player who we can replace for a year with Tsimikas.

Gomez does not look likely to leave at all. Zero rumours as to that happening, plus with only a year left on his contract he will most likely see it out.

Salah we will replace with a starter I assume, same with MacAllister is he goes.

Doubt if Ali goes before the summer of 2027, but if he does I reckon Mamar becomes the starter and we bring in another back up keeper.

I think its nailed on he goes this summer TBH can't see mama being benched two years running.

In terms of players who could be here next season who could reasonably expect to play a decent amount of games we have:
      Alisson, Mamardashvilli,
Bradley, Frimpong, Kerkez, Tsimikas, VVD, Konate, Gomez, Leoni, Jacquet
Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, MacAllister, Jones, Wirtz, Nyoni
      Isak, Gakpo, Ngumoha

(I have excluded Ekitike as he will miss at least half of the season)

That's 20 players (18 outfield) Ngumoha will still have his minutes heavily managed, Nyoni has yet to play more than about 20 mins in any PL game, Jacquet and Leoni are still unproven and have no PL experience.

We need at least 3 additional players added to that squad (at least one CM and two forwards) and there is the possibility that players such as Konate, MacAllister, Jones and Gomez leave and if they do, they would need to be replaced.

3 additions is the minimum, more will be needed if player leave

Why bring him back? He's never been good enough.

He's not good enough to be first choice, but he's a perfectly good back up option. We need at least 3 players in before we move anyone who plays semi regularly on, who would need to be replaced. I could see something like 5 in and 2 out in that regard, having to get another LB just means spreading resources thinner

Strongly linked to David Raum - German international, plays both sides and experienced (27 I think). Supposed to be available at a good price

Good player but turns 28 this month and they are meant to be looking for between 30m and 40m for him.

Not sure he would want to move just to be a back up player though given he is a starter and the captain at Leipzig. He is a bit of a beast physically and plays a lot like a more aggressive version of Kerkez and is basically a crossing machine if given a hint of space.

He has not been that good the odd time he gets used on the right though. Think he has only covered on the right a handful of times the past few years.

Though if we were looking to bring in a very fast attack minded right winger, then someone like Ruam as a left sided midfielder playing ahead of Kerkez might make sense. Would give us a very robust left flank and would make that flank a source of constant crosses in to Isak.

But at 28 in a few days time, he would be very much a short term fix.

Nobody expensive. I reckon we will spend what we get for Cheisa.

I reckon we need a RB too. Frimpong is not suited to the position and has become as injury prone as Bradley.

Id be more inclined to keep him as a RW to replace Salah if money is tight.

I think the squad size is fine but filled with fringe players who are no good like Endo and Chiesa.

So it will be a case of one in and one out

Thats A RB, LB, DM, RW, CF with Timmy, Robbo, Endo, Salah and Chiesa leaving.

Possibly Konate and maybe Gakpo and McAllister depending.

Cant see Gomez leaving until his contract expires. When fit he covers 3 positions, and that is hard to replace.
