That was the same for most of the team though.

Its easy to run around and pressure the ball carrier, but I admire the workrate of players that can do that, but it doesn't mean they're any good if thats all they can do (Robbie Savage anyone?).

In games like this you need someone that can hold the ball up too if that's their only role. Momo is a poor mans Makelele.

I'll praise him when he does well, I just think he's average to say the least, a one trick pony.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

          To often yes, relentlessly, no.

Just think of it this way. Rafael Benitez knows infinitely more about football then you and I put together. And for every big game we play he is picked. There is not another player in our team that can do what he does. His impact on games is nothing short of crushing. And the only way to improve what he needs to improve is play him. Every player has flaws. And Momo is working on his like crazy. If he improves, he will become a player mentioned in the same breath as Desailly and Vieira.

Carra was monumental throughout the first half which gave the whole team confidence in going forward. Momo's first few passes went wayward which immediatley created groans around the ground.

Dirk Kuyt IS our attacking version of Sissoko. He may not have that extra bit of class, but he is an engine up front who just needs a striker to feed off him.

Gerrard didn't set the game plan early on and a few of his own passes went awry. But in the 2nd half he stepped up a gear and once again, when he came into the centre he looked the most likely to score.

No single player dissapointed me tonight, but the final result did even though we do go through. The day our posession and chances are converted into match winning performances, then the sooner we are going to relive the Shanks/Paisley era.

No, Gerrard could do what Sisso does only much better, but Gerrard has skill, can pass the ball, hold it up and score goals, so it would be a complete waste of his talents to restrict him in this way.

Crushing? Another exagerration of his impact on a game, but I understand that he breaks up an attack and makes things awkward for soft midfielders who want space and time. Its the equivalent of sticking headless chicken on the pitch with an uncanny ability to sense where the ball is.

Thats all he can do though, and even then, the second half he dissappeared and Barca had plenty of possession.

We'll have to agree to disagree, I think he's a very, very poor player.

He certainly did - no mean effort by SG. Worked his arse off.

I disagree - awesome though he is, he has to learn to pass regularly to a red shirt.

Let me just finish of with this. And then I´ll let it go.

Momo gets picked to do this job ahead of Steven Gerrard.

That has got to tell you something.

It's got to be Carra, never goes missing when you need him in any game
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Have you not read what I just said?

Restricting Gerrard to run around and pressure the ball carrier would be a complete waste of his talents. This is all Momo can do.

I'll leave you with this, in a game of keepy ups with a grenade, I'd rather play with Momo than any other player in our squad.

Yes, Stevie is a better Right Winger than JP!
If we had a world beater of a RW, than there is no way that Momo would be chosen over SG for CM?
