i think rafa got a tactical run over last night by jose. we pressed them way to up the pitch and left to much space at the back. every single threat from them came from a couter attack. we should have let them control a little a we should have been the ones that were countering.

Agreed. We weren't patient enough.
Rafa let them counterattack, where as that was what we should have looked to do.

I don't think we have enough pace in the side to be a good counter-attacking team. We're more effective when we dictate the tempo and keep possession in a patient, European build-up kinda way.

i agree but you can't do that at stanford bridge, where maurinho plays 8 men in defence, they only attacked on 3 players the entire game, only drogba schevo and cole. at any given time there where 8 chelski players on their own half. and we made the mistake of pressuring them on their own pitch leaving Drogba, schevo and cole with plenty of space to run into. our back line should have dropped further back and xabi and masher should not be pressing players on their pitch.
