I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Getting back to feeling at the club. Watched the 2001 UEFA cup final on ESPN classic today. Now that looked like a team with great morale to me.

Oh and fowlers goal for 3-3, we shouuld,ve had more of that.

SO86SGO8 was his full title. Not content with wearing a Chelsea shirt he then announces he's pulled a 4 year old!

Salif Diao should be brought back from his loan spell to fill in that vacant space in midfield. That would be great, only to piss off Rocket Queen.

Cheers J-P. Thanks for the info

I'm sure the morale in the camp must have something to do with all our world cup players having a disappointing tournament. We've also had an influx of new players and they need time to settle in.

That's just daft - he's taken some brilliant corners for us, and he's certainly better than Gerrard or Garcia at taking them (mind you, it would help if we had a striker who could attack them)

He has never been happier and is desperate to do well. He started badly, but his best two games have been the last two so hopefully he's starting to settle in.

I always feel uncomfortable when Stevie takes the corners, I feel he's better in the ox, or on the edge of the box, wit JP taking a better corner.

While I'm at it, I wish we'd just put it into the box instead of pissing about with short corners, this doesn't take advantage of the big guys we have like Sami and Crouchaldinho.

Thing is though, no one gets on the end of the traditional corner into the box anyway, so what difference does it make. We are **** at corners, I get the impression we could take them non stop for the full 90 minutes and would never score.

We scored from a couple a few weeks ago - after a drought of about a year suddenly for a short period it seemed we were 'only' scoring goals from corners...

I don't think Gerrard took any of our successful ones though - he should never take them ever, it's a complete waste having him out there when he should either be in the box or sniffing about for half-clearances...
