It will be interesting to see how much money Rafa will get. No one really knows how much they are willing to spend.

Did the West Ham / Portsmouth / Villa takeovers result in significant transfer money being available? Can we expect a decent kitty from the new guys?
Let the thing go through first mate
Pompey gave Spurs about £10m for a load of their ****e I think, Villa didnt spend much. West Ham have only just been taken over so hasnt been a window yet

MoN will get around £20m-£25m to spend and Pardew around the same if you believe what the new owners have said.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostI hope the deal is complete in time for the transfer window.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I do not want Chelsea type stuff, throw £30m here and there, if they dont work out loan them to some Italian team and sign another expensive player. I want the manager to be able to get Alves over Pennant and not scrimp and save loaning people out to get Dirk and stuff like that. + The stadiumOriginally posted by LFClove View PostIt will be interesting to see how much money Rafa will get. Makes sense - the January window may come too soon for any change in our transfer strategyOriginally posted by Mumsafan View PostI don't think we'll see any real improvement until the summer windowIt's my job to handle life and death situations on a daily basis. It's what I do, and I'm very good at it.

If Chelsea make a move for Alves in January and he is available then I can see Rafa signing him if he gets the money to do it.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
