Thanjk you.

I'd like the club to revert back to the badge we had in the late 80's/early 90's.
All it needs is a flame placed in the top left-hand corner of the shield.
Actually i would prefer us to get rid of the shield and go back to just the liverbird- we could then keep the gates and flames as they are: that way we could increase the realtive size of the bird on the tops- which is after all my biggest problem with the busy badge
Just wondering if the deal does go through we will revert back to old badge ala chelski? I for one would love just to have the old liverbird back with maybe the 2 flames still there, i see no reason to have the gates on the badge...
It would be as pointless as reverting to the badge of my childhood: A white oval with a thin red stripe just in from the edge with a red Liver Bird and the letters LFC underneath. It suited the time, but times move on and the 80s Liver Bird looks a tad dated nowadays - so no reason to change
Even though I welcome it with open arms , we will not go back to the old badge because apparently there are copyright issues if the Liver Bird is too large a component of the badge because it is a civic symbol of the city.
That doesn't really make sense as it's an heraldic symbol so I doubt the city could own the copyright - and even if they did, copyright lapses after 50 years in this country and the council's been using it a lot longer than that
I dont mind if the badge changes, as long as we dont revert to what the Mancs have done-remove the Football Club refeference. Our soul and heritage must remain intact, regardless of who owns us.
