We've been pretty fortunate with midfielder over the years, but I guess that you'd expect that in one of the better teams.

Lucas wasn't average though. At the beginning he got a lot abuse. Expectations were high and unrealistic. Pre injury he was imperious. Post injury he was diminished but he gave us an option in the squad that nobody else offered.

He was not average.
