His game doesn't rely on pace, so it's irrelevant. Yesterday's was his first full game this season so he was bound to tire at the end especially when we were chasing the ball so much.

If Lucas leaves, it's because he wants to play more and that Rodgers favours a more dynamic style most of the time. Or he wants a new challenge. Nothing to do with the manager not liking him.
    Are we winning?

We need to keep him, I thought he was great for most of the game but (undertandably tired towards the end of the game. Watching Can yesterday there is no way he can play a DM type role in the way that Lucas or even Henderson does.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

My take on BR's comments are: Rodgers would like him to stay, Lucas wants to play more games but our set up means we don't always play with a DM, probably only against uber offensive teams. Lucas is highly respected and has always been a pro thus Rodgers is not going to decline him the opportunity to get more games elsewhere. So the ball is in Lucas's court. Will be a shame if he decides to go because he is perfect for our DM requirements.

It's a shame, cos Lucas is a great fella, but he wants game time and we cannot guarantee him a starting berth. If we did, it would be at the expense of Can, and at this point in time I would rather keep Can than risk him leaving for extra game time.

He was very good for us yesterday, naturally tired towards the end of his time on the pitch which was to be expected in his first game against a side like Arsenal.

It'll be a shame to see him go but if it's his decision to get more game time then fair enough

Loved the way he turned his career around with us

Be delighted if he stays - nothing but best wishes if he goes

I'd argue that having a proper defensive midfielder on the pitch even against the weaker teams at Anfield provides balance and cohesion which helps with the team's performance levels.

I'd be playing him in pretty much all the away games. I can understand going another way with the midfield set-up for home games, but I thought he was terrific again tonight before he understandably tired. Our best performances last season came with him in the side (and the back 3) and I wouldn't be packing him off yet. Really hope he stays.

                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

He's off ... he really has become quite Marginalized which for a player who 28 and still has a lot to contribute is not a great situation, he'll go for sure, good luck to him, we'll miss him, but someone will take his place

Don't get me wrong, so do I. But I can understand what Rodgers looks like he's trying to achieve...even if I don't agree with it.
