Mike Kelly was brought in by Hodger. He's in his 60's, every other word is FACKIN this FACKIN that. The players hate him, his methods and his very being.

He isn't a goalkeeping coach, yet spends time trying to teach - yes, TEACH - Pepe Reina how to be more 'English' in his style.
Reina has complained about his training methods.
A lot of the players do not speak to him, Torres is one.

I'd hope he also leaves the club along with Hodger. Kelly that is, not Torres!

Statement on current situation
Saturday 8th January 2011



Like all supporters we want the right decisions to be made to ensure success for our football club.

The Union is committed, as always, to the view that the position of Liverpool Manager should be supported with all of the resources at the club’s disposal. It was clear that the rising tide of speculation regarding the position of Roy Hodgson was damaging the position of Liverpool Manager, and the football club. Fenway Sports Group have acted decisively to address this, to prevent it being further undermined and bringing an end to the media frenzy that was enveloping the club, bringing renewed optimism and excitement.

There are other pressing matters, such as the appointment of a Chief Executive, decisions on a redeveloped or new Anfield and financing of the football club. All these matters, we hope, will be dealt with as this has been - behind closed doors, no longer the long drawn out affairs played out in the full glare of the world's media as it was under the previous owners.

Naturally, as supporters with a vested interest, we will be watching carefully to ensure decisions are made properly and important matters are dealt with in the right manner. We currently have a document with FSG and we are awaiting their reply, to continue engagement with them and ensure supporters' voices are heard.

For the time being though, our attentions turn to important matters on the pitch. Bring on yer Manchester United....

I've been checking the headlines every day while I was in the States - just found out the news this afternoon when Moyes mentioned it in an interview as I was driving back from the airport up the M1 - great news!
