Good for him. Just checked on line now, and i can see him talking on said show, he looks well, when his hair went white he looked old as ****, seems to look younger now..strangely.

Aye, he said Roy probably didn't have long enough but I don't mind hearing managers saying that. They probably see it as justifying safeguarding their own positions. Also said that Roy's comments about the fans made his position untenable. Then he ran through Rafa's signings and said there was no way he left a weak squad.

Wasn't sure where to put this....

I was in a meeting today with some people we had not met before, so we had a round the room short introduction.

One guy came out with his name (which I have forgotten) then said he had 35 years in the industry and was well respected by his peers.

FFS I just exploded into laughter, whilst everybody in the room was looking at me in bewilderment. Fortunately I was looking at a text on my phone when he was speaking, so I palmed it off as a private joke and apologised for disrupting the meeting
