I think stevie will do the diplomatic thing - unlike carra - and thank rafa for overseeing the best part of his career. I certainly hope he doesnt claim 2001 was better than anything under Rafa.
Not gonna happen under Kenny and he's apparently already copped a bollocking for getting sent off against the Mancs.

I was in a meeting today with some people we had not met before, so we had a round the room short introduction.

One guy came out with his name (which I have forgotten) then said he had 35 years in the industry and was well respected by his peers.

FFS I just exploded into laughter, whilst everybody in the room was looking at me in bewilderment. Fortunately I was looking at a text on my phone when he was speaking, so I palmed it off as a private joke and apologised for disrupting the meeting

      Thanks for sharing that.

        Brilliant

Funnily enough, i had a situation recently at work, on a similar line....

Basically, one of the procedures at our office has been handed over to a new team to action - they havent done it before, so they are learning. The leader of this team had a meeting with us, and kept stressing how, whilst they knew mistakes would be made initially, we should not worry about approaching the team and pointing out any errors, showing them how it's done etc - and she told us how her team were "very nice, mean well and would turn things around given time, despite the errors" - i looked at one of the lads i work with, a fellow Red, and whispered "See, they weally weally mean well, they'll get it wight, despite the ewwors"

Amazing how the first thought that comes to mind, when hearing about anyone useless who is 'nice really', is always about Bodgson

The disappointing thing for everyone is that just one man always gets the blame and that’s the manager. It’s important for us players not to hide behind that.”

            Stevie G.
Funny how he didn't say the same about Rafa
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe you need to read his book - he says an awful lot of positive stuff about Rafa there.

As for after Rafa left - why does Gerrard NEED to say anything? Maybe he had genuinely just stopped enjoying playing under rafa, and was pleased to see the back of him. And if that was the case, so what? He doesnt HAVE to love Rafa.

I meant he was silent when Rafa left, he didn't say how it was a shame that Rafa had been sacked when more people were to blame, Rafa got us to 2 CL finals. So it seems odd that he would make such comments about Roy who was dreadful and it seemed that players weren't enjoying playing for while results were abysmal, for someone who is supposedly so ambitious, so why did he say anything about Roy when he didn't need to say anything there either.

Maybe he didnt think it was a shame that Rafa had been sacked and did think it was a shame that Roy's tenure didnt work and he had been sacked.

i agree with this. Its clear Rafa got the very best out of Stevie G for his first few seasons but for whatever reason got **** all out of him last year.

I think Stevie wanted woy to work out after all he did choose him

Liverpool FC confirmed today that manager Roy Hodgson has left the club by mutual consent.

Principal Owner John Henry commented: "We are grateful for Roy's efforts over the past six months, but both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down from his position as team manager. We wish him all the best for the future."

Roy Hodgson said: "Being asked to manage Liverpool Football Club was a great privilege. Any manager would be honoured to manage a club with such an incredible history, such embedded tradition and such an amazing set of fans. Liverpool is one of the great clubs in world football. I have, however, found the last few months some of the most challenging of my career. I am very sad not to have been able to put my stamp on the squad, to be given the time to bring new players into the club in this transfer window and to have been able to be part of the rebuilding process at Liverpool. The club has some great, world-class players, with whom it has been a pleasure to work and I wish the entire squad well for the rest of the season. I thank those with whom I have built up a close working relationship at the club for their loyalty and support during very testing times, and finally of course to the Liverpool fans, your passion and dedication to the club will see Liverpool at the top of the game once more."

Club legend Kenny Dalglish will assume control of team matters for Sunday's third round FA Cup tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Henry added: "We are delighted that Kenny Dalglish has agreed to step in and manage the team for Sunday's FA Cup tie at Old Trafford and for the remainder of the season.

"Kenny was not just a legendary footballer, he was the third of our three most successful managers - three giants. We are extraordinarily fortunate and grateful that he has decided to step in during the middle of this season."

Chairman Tom Werner said: "No one who cares for this great club has been happy with the way this season has unfolded and we have examined options and considered at length what is best for us going forward. Kenny will bring considerable experience to the position and provide management and leadership for the rest of the season."
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
