Not in a Liverpool shirt, no.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostDon't you think Cole has had enough chances at the top level to state that he will never be good enough?
I dont give a **** what a player's done elsewhere, at LFC people should get a proper chance.
The thing with me and my attitude with Cole is well known on here, but i'm not stupid enough to say he should be in the side when he is out of form, not match sharp, and when others in the team are justifying their place. At the moment, of course Cole shouldnt be in the side.
But....he hasnt had a proper chance at Liverpool yet, and i am not going to write him off before he has had a genuine opportunity to make a go of things at LFC.

My point was, he has had his chance at Chelsea and hasn't really showed he was 'world class' or anything. He's a good player, good enough to be a squad player at a club like ours IMO, but I don't think he sees himself like this so he'll probably move on.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostNot in a Liverpool shirt, no.

Maxi and Aurelio get stuck into tackles no problems. Maxi can whine a bit after getting ****ted though.Originally posted by Drago View PostNgog, Maxi & Aurellio are the first three that pops to mind.
Add Joe Cole as well. Raul is no softer then Lucas either.
Ngog is soft all round IMO. Needs to be more lethal in front of goal, but having said that he has improved a lot and stands his ground when getting hit this season a bit more. Someone asked if he's finished under Kenny. I don't think so. He was obviously a bit out of his depth being in the first team of Liverpool FC, but he is still a young lad and has time on his side. His only problem was bing chucked in at the deep end much too soon.Forwards.......

As does Raul. This he's a lightweight stuff is nonsense. People pointing to him pulling out of what could have been a leg breaker by Rafael were going overboard.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostMaxi and Aurelio get stuck into tackles no problems. Joe Cole is good enough for the first team but he needs run of games. He's going to have to make sure he stays fit first and foremost, after that it's back to basics and getting some starts in the Europa Cup.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostMy point was, he has had his chance at Chelsea and hasn't really showed he was 'world class' or anything. Personally I don't care whether he is a massive success or not. He's good enough but he has to show it. In all likelihood he's got to the end of the season or he's out on his ear.Forwards.......

And in case people are worried about £90k p/w and a 'mercenary' thing - he isnt like that at all, if he isnt getting in the side, he will walk away, go and take less money elsewhere, to play football.

About time we had a midfielder other than Gerrard who knows where the back of the net is. Great to see him thriving like this under Kenny.
That's just appauling.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSaw this on another forum and just had to post it here. It's hilariously ****.
Suggested song for Raul Meireles.
(That's Amore)
When the ball hits the net, more regularly than Darren Bent
....its Meireles
Tall, slim with no hair, but we dont ****in care....its Meireles
Pass the ball ping-a-ping-ping ping-a-ping-ping

what wonderful play
Play on the wing, in midfield or up front home or awaaayyyyyy
The "row your boat" one's quite good though.
Sorry, you've been a member here how long and you ask that?Originally posted by Craig_H View Post
Why ask a silly question?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Surprisingly good finishing ability.Did he not play as the most advanced in a 3 at Porto? Same with Portugal? Basically what he's doing at the moment reallyOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI never thought he had the tools to play such an advanced role. To me he is a classic, orthodox CM, box-to-box. But he's proving me wrong. Big player for us now.
He dovetails brilliantly with Lucas and Gerrard, they're all really versatile and clever playersSack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

iirc he was the middle man of a 3 man midfield for both Porto and Portugal. The link man if you like.Originally posted by wiw View PostDid he not play as the most advanced in a 3 at Porto? Same with Portugal? Basically what he's doing at the moment really
