I wouldnt go that far, he flicked on a corner and missed a chance which was tapped in. But he was better than usual, it was basically an Aston Villa kids team though. Mata was the main man again.

Torres will prove a lot of people on this forum wrong, of that I have no doubt.

No he is not back. The goal came in injury time after Villa committed pretty much everybody forward in hopes of getting equalizer.

His "assists" especially the second one wouldn't count as assists as he "barely" touched the ball that would've ended up with Ivanovic anyways.

He missed 3,4 golden opportunities the ones that LFC Torres would never miss.

Still his work-rate is very questionable and it is actually all Mata.

            Not him.

I hope he stays there and keeps coming 'back' because if Chelsea actually had a world class forward they will become a force again.

It was a Torres at Liverpool finish though. Only time will tell.

No doubt imo he'll show glimpses of true world class ability here and there for the rest of his career, he'll probably have a run of games where he scores goals regularly too from time to time, some of them top drawer, but for me, he'll never truly recapture the form he had at LFC, and i'm not sure he'll ever be trusted to be a top clubs No1 striker, where a club depends on such a player to score goals often enough to win Titles.

But yes, time will indeed tell.

Watch the press go overboard though.

Finish was great but everything about him including his celebration is fake and artificial.

If you have a chance see how Albrighton got by him just moments before he scored. It was a joke to watch that as he literally moved away not to touch him or even attempted to track him and this is at moment when Villa had up to 8,9 men in the box and his "team" needed all the help they can get to defend themselves.

See the first half too when Mata served him a ball on the silver platter and he let it by pass him to the shock of all.

He will hit occasional highlight like that goal but his movement, first step, his goal scoring touch, fear that he used to instill in his opponents and most of all the heart that he showed with us imo is long time gone.

                        He's absolutely dismal.

Thought he was terrible last night. Drogba is a much better option for them but because £50m was forked out he has to play under Abramovich's orders.

It still pisses me off how a club with so much ****e going on (including sacking their manager) is so ahead of us in the league.

Rubbish last night...........still, he's back, according to the media, based on scoring a couple unimportant goals against garbage.
                            Don't mind the other 50 ****e performances.

What a truly awful footballer. They needed him to step up tonight but he just hid away as usual.

You come across as a little bit obsessed.

The glee with which you relish picking out anything other a brilliant performance is quite something to behold.
                                Oh I don't know.
