you know if we genuinley want him back am sure the idea of gerrard and suraez and sterling would entice him back,he's won everything now ....he's 28 too early to go back to spain maybe when he's 30/31 yeah but still got plenty to offer at the right club

I'd have him back in an instant as I think his heart has always been with Liverpool, problem would be that the Chav's would want a shed load of money from us whereas Atletico could probably get a better deal especially if Falcao was part of the package......

true but only if the player wants to return to spain

Its just to big a gamble to take him back.

Realistically if he is sold for 15/20m and then add 3 years of wages at 100k a week(on the cheap!) you are looking at best part of 35m for a player who hasn't produced more than a handful of good games in the last 4 seasons.

Like Lec said, Fine to take him on loan In Jan......give him a few months to see if he can get to something like, but on a purchase it would be crazy and we could easily have another Joe Cole situation on our hands

He may not be the same player as he was a few years ago but I happen to think a lot of his poor performances for Chelsea are down to the fact that his heart is not in it whereas back at Anfield he would instantly feel at home again. Not saying he would get back to being the player he was cicrca 2008 but if he even got back to where he was when he left in 2011 we would have a hell of a goalscorer again.

Why do people keep saying that? It’s Spain FFS, not China or Australia, arguably the best league in the world. It’s also his home and the style is probably more suited to his abilities now. If you’re gonna argue that he’s unfinished business in England, then he needs to stay at Chelsea as no other club with PL ambitions would be interested.

Not aimed at you specifically Bender, but a lot of people keep mentioning this.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It's only too early when you apply Bender-time.

It's the right time using all other definitions of time.

His heart was never at Liverpool, it was at Atletico. He has said so himself, plus he never ever kissed the badge. He is part of our history and should be left at that.

Saddest thing about the whole Torres saga is that despite his undoubted success in his time with us, I still genuinely feel like it is a case of 'what could have been'.

Torres I think has and always will have an affinty to the club, he made his decision to leave which I guess he believes or believed was the right thing to do at the time, obviously I was massively ****ed off with it at the time but I for one am well over that & regardless of how much he was involved he's won trophies since he left us.

If he was available either on loan or at a decent value I'd be happy to see him come back, the past is the past and players come and go and if he came back and did a job for us then I'd be more than happy.

NB - I fully expect him to head back to Athletico with Falcao on the way to Stamford Bridge.
