Inter Milan have stepped up their talks with Chelsea over taking £50m striker Fernando Torres on loan next season.

Chelsea have already decided to get rid of the former Liverpool forward, who has scored just 44 goals since his British record transfer from Anfield in 2011.

The 30-year-old still has over two years left on his £175,000-a-week contract, but as Standard Sport revealed earlier this week, Chelsea are willing to listen to offers over a permanent move or a loan deal.

Inter had already confirmed their interest in Torres and are now in negotiations over taking him on loan. However, they are not prepared to pay his salary in full and are hoping Chelsea will agree to pay some of his wages.

It is when you consider his wages and the fact that he's ****. We'll have a similar problem with Reina, but not as bad as Torres though.

Except that Reina has been fantastic for our club and continues to be a great goalkeeper and is having a successful loan spell at Naples. Plus his age, and being a goalkeeper, means he still has several more years of being able to play at the top of the game. Torres has been **** for Chelsea from start to finish.
