One moment summed up the new Torres for me.... ball goes flying across the 6 yard box and he steps over it, trying to dummy it for another player. Torres v.2008 would have slammed that home without a second thought. Game over Nando.

I'm not going to lie. I want him to fail for the rest of his career. I won't even remember him as a LFC player (mostly for his comments since leaving).

Saw that, it seems like his anticipation is gone...

Alan Curbishley and Tyler defending him in commentary was utterly pathetic. He is **** you cunts, just say it.

AVB looks like an injured player in some chelsea merchandise clapping his team mates on.

I think chelsea will line up like this from the looks of that game. Not a bad line up but I still think their midfield is ****...

                Drogba
                Malouda----Sturridge
                Benayoun-Lampard
                Mikel

So it looks like the loan spell did wonders for Sturridge. Perhaps CFC should send Torres on loan to Bolton

Did he play for us, really? **** me, I must've missed that

So who's this Torres guy then?
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

A quick look at CFC.net reveals:

Let's be honest, Torres was closest to rubbish throughout this pre season friendlies. First, he doesn't get himself right in a good position and was quite clueless at certain point. I hate to say this but I think he's more worst than Shevchenko in a blue shirt. I think the club can do just fine without him. Kalou, Drogba or Sturridge had a better game than Torres.

It's not his fault he costs us that much but I doubt he will ever justify his £50m valuation and the club must be deluded at that time desperately sign a guy without considering Torres was on a declination form due to injury or etc etc.

I don't want to be very highly criticial of him because I'm not the subject but AVB should make a wise decision to play him or sub him. Sturridge was way ahead of him.

                        or

Hopefully he can start using this "great positioning" to actually score a goal or something.

Ferreira put in an amazing cross today but did Mr Positioning go and bury it? Nope, he just stood yards away and didn't even move. Same as he did v Man Utd at home in the CL from another great cross from Bosingwa.

He's shot, we've been ripped off here so badly its remarkable and seeing Aguero go for £15m less is sickening. A player who actually has his prime ahead of him, not past his best years like the player we signed.

                        or even

Whatever your personal view-point, we seem to have made a *massive* rod for our own back buying him.

one could argue that initially Shevchenko made more impact than Torres?
                        it's certainly a toss of a coin.

I really do hope I eat humble pie & a *massive* turn around of form is on the cards?

                        I just can't see it ...

                        and finally

How many more excuses can there be? He's already a £50m player who "needs a year to settle in to London" "can't play without Yossi Benayoun" "Has to have the ball passed or crossed perfectly to him 6 yards out", "Will be fine after a summers rest", "Needs a new manager" its ridiculous, I think even he'd be embarrassed at some of the excuses defending him! When are we allowed to admit he's been a rubbish signing so far and we look nowhere near getting our moneys worth? Hopefully that changes in the future but for now he's been crap.

TBF there are a few supportive posts but these are far more fun to read.

I love that excuse, like that was the secret to his success here

This bloke is about as good at great as Torres is at footy right now.
                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.
