Bit aggressive there Arn. Even when he was coached to run more intelligently he was making an effort with his movement off the ball and defending from the front.

The point I was making was that he stopped making an effort when he'd decided to leave. He could clearly still play to a high level, for example the Chelsea game and the first couple of games when Kenny came back, but he didn't want to. He didn't look like he had the motivation to work his way out of the fug he found himself in at Chelsea either.

No wonder that he stopped making an effort when he was told to be a man show in attack. No help at all. Hoof the ball to Torres and let him do the rest.

He looks haggard, stressed and miserable. he could have been the focal point of a revival. He'll still have it somewhere, but it seems to be getting harder and harder for him to find.
