Torres of old will never return, a bit like Owen, just be happy we had him at his peak

Eh, 90%, pffft , 40%-50% at most, imo.

edit: Actually no, it's probably about 30% still love him, 30% hate him, and 40% don't care as he's not a liverpool player anymore and did'nt win anything with/for us.

Freekicks agreed, pens not so sure. Obviously it'sa useful skill to have, but there tend to be other players that can do that.

Really though, my comment was in terms of being a great striker/finisher & it's not only strikers that have the deadball skills.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Whilst that is true, I do think the brief time he had under Kenny showed that if he is settled he is not finished either. We got excellent value for him and he clearly burnt his bridges when he went but I can't help thinking that we would be better off now with him in the squad.

Exactly this. We saw him looking like he was back when Kenny first returned, we thought Suarez and him were going to play together, and then we ended up with an immobile oak of a striker.

                I'm still pining

                Enough tree references.

If we had the Rush, Dalglish, Aldridge, Toshack, Keegan of old we would be in the top2 right now as well and I reckon any of those would have scored more in the Chelsea team than torres this year and they are all pushing 50+
