Tbf he has failed pretty spectacularly in a similar system for the past 2 years.

If you look at him at his best at Atleti and LFC he was the lone striker. He is just not effective in a high pressing front 3 where there is not much space between the back 4 and the keeper. IMO

Torres has never had a confidence problem. Why would you? Lauded as the best striker in the world, £50m price tag etc...It's the opposite...he's actually got an ego problem, imo, and he's been trying to get past 2 or 3 players instead of keeping it simple, when his body and pace are not the same as they were 4 years ago.

Fair enough mate. He was deffo worth 50m in one season and he always seemed quite confident so it's a bit surprising.

It's not, he has said as much himself. Thats what made me hate him even more. Atletico is his home and his team.

Err no, don't be confused, I hate him because I thought we were the one for him, but when he left he made it clear we weren't. He had us conned. Nothing to do with him preferring Atletico.

Don't hate him. Just saying I do, I really could not give a **** about him tbh and wish I never came back into this thread.

My main point was he would not fit into our system. Secondary point was he had us conned with his love for LFC. There never was any love and he is just another mercenary of the game.
