I really couldn't give a flying **** about him. Don't wish him any luck but don't wish him any harm either.

    In short....whatever.
I think the club are in a far better place now ( ignoring the league table ) then when he left.

His medals at Chelsea are only very slightly more meaningful and worthy than Owen's at Utd.

We may have regressed since he left, its debatable, but there can be absolutely no doubt that he has regressed as a player since he left.

Disagree on that. Just because he didnt set the world alight, he still played in most games, and even scored in the Semi. I know Chelsea were winning, but it put the game beyond doubt.

He had a record of 1 in 4.5 for chelsea last year. Which isnt amazing, but its not terrible either.

Thats fair enough, but he was not decisive for them (Barca game aside). Scoring the odd goal when they are hammering teams is not what he was bought there for.

I am sure that even he said somewhere that he did not feel part of those wins.

Like I said though, as a player he has certainly regressed.

He has got 1 in 2 so far this season.

I think he has regressed. But thats only because he is playing in teams that arnt built around him. I think the only reason someone like Falcao gets the amount of goals he does is because of the team playing to his strengths.

Torres is still a threat, he just needs someone to put some balls through the channels for him.

I dunno, I think Chelsea has definitely built the team around him this year. Hazard, Oscar, Mata... they are all there to supply him with chances. He's been better this year, but considering the quality around him, it's obvious he's not the player he once was. But I think that's something we all agree on, so whatever.

Yet, the majority of us would want him back.

And would he really be able to fit into our system? I am not so sure.

Hated him for leaving us, laughed at his misfortune

But would have him back in a second even if he is only half of the player he was here.

At the risk of sounding like a 15 year old, loved him absolutely loved him when he was here. It was privilege to watch him play those 2.5 years.

Of course it was, thats why we have this thread. He was incredible and we loved him unconditionally for his exploits in front of goal. Which is what made it so tough when he left.

Heaven knows how I would have reacted had Stevie gone to the Chavs all those years ago.

I reckon we were happy to sell him and asked him to hand in TR so he didn't have a cut of the fee.

Reckon we've done well out of it all oo, he's not performed anywhere near a £50mil level for 4 years. Totaly different story with MO, who messed us about to engineer a cheap move with higher wages etc.

I hold no grudge against him, just can't see why we'd want him back on current form.

He actually went as far as saying he wasn't bothered if Chelsea lost games last season

I think the biggest shame is how we spent 35m from the Torres fee. I really think Dalglish and Comolli must have been off their faces on JD and extacy whilst agreeing the fee.
Even now I still can't believe it? 35m for Andy Carroll? OMG WTF FML ROTFL unbelievable.
