After the terrible miss today he really switched it on, looked the closest he's been to the player he was with us.

Defending wasn't good but you have to take advantage of it as well & tbf to him he did that.

Should have scored early on in the game mind but don't think you can fault his effort and play today

Working incredibly hard, arguably harder than he ever worked for us, he's not upto full pace but the Torres of old would have gone straight back into his shell after thay first miss.

Deserved his goal today in fairness, even if it was a mess.

Torres at Chelsea is a different player to Torres at Liverpool. More vicious and hard working, but he won't ever score at the rate he did for us.

I loved him when he was here, but it's like a different person now.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Look at the evidence over his time there.........largely ****e, and will continue to be so.
It's not like he's even producing Suarez levels of performance on his good days.

                  **** off.

No one is saying he is. Comes across as a little bitter to not recognise his form this season. He's not been smashing them in, but he is a good player again. My Chelsea mate even likes him and he spent the last 2 years cursing his name.

Torres has done pretty well this season, I'm with Alex, don't see the problem with admitting this.

Would I swap him for Sturridge or Suarez, not a bloody chance

This season ?....... Or the last couple of games ?

I just think we should reserve superlatives for truly outstanding, consistent performers in their positions this season. Miles behind the likes of Suarez, Rooney, Aguero, Altidore etc

Calling him a good player is hardly superlatives though.

He's an ex player who's playing well this season, not in the same league as those you've mentioned but still he's been playing well.

More a reference to the likes of the Chelsea-loving Sky than anyone on here I admit. He done well today, but then so did Lambert yesterday.......so where's the love in for him front and center.
Better performing players than him everywhere to be found this season.

Shocking fall when a semi decent performance from a £50m footballer with no major injury to recover from is somewhat celebrated.
