I'm not sure, and I've been saying for a while that I don't think speculation about fees is particularly helpful. I would however have preferred him to Henderson or any of the other midfielders we have been linked with (possibly except Mata and with the qualification that I haven't seen that much of Henderson).Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostAssuming for a minute that this link was real how much would you be happy to see us spend on him?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I can't see City selling him for much less than they paid, so whether he's worth that or not I can't see us offering that much for him.Originally posted by dww View PostI'm not sure, and I've been saying for a while that I don't think speculation about fees is particularly helpful. I'd say something similar but City paid ~£10m more than that for him so I can't see them letting him go for that kind of loss, (especially to someone who will be a rival for a top 4 spot).Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think he's worth £15m in today's market. And he'd be a great fit in our team, works like a cart horse and has good energy and delivery. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Without meaning to sound derogatory, we have Kuyt who does the same job.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think he's worth £15m in today's market. And he'd be a great fit in our team, works like a cart horse and has good energy and delivery.
Milner is decent. No more and no less. City would want much more than what he's really worth (IMO).

He's more dynamic than Kuyt IMO, but Kuyt is a better finisher, as you'd expect from an ex (current?) striker.Originally posted by Lee View PostWithout meaning to sound derogatory, we have Kuyt who does the same job.

Imo there is no way City would even remotely entertain any ideas of selling him unless the starting bid is close to 20m mark.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think he's worth £15m in today's market. Thank you. I was struggling to articulate how ****ing crap this bloke is and your last sentence sums him up admirablyOriginally posted by BillobShaisley View PostCome on guys get a grip. OK so he's not Aguero or Nani but FFS £3m?!?!?
He's about as much use as Ashley Young and a similar age.

Surely not as slow as our Dirk though?Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostIsn't Milner pretty slow?
Can't often be the case that a forward/offensive wide midfield player is the slowest person at a club.
Note; I cannot categorically state that I know this to be true since I am relying on a Jamie Carragher interview as my source.
