Yup. As soon as lovely old Bobby went they plummeted down the table. Had ideas above their station.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I was quite happy to get him but I've changed my mind. Don't think we need him, not for the wages he would want. Good player though.

Slightly off the boil at the moment, I like him and he can play in a ****load of positions for us, but I cant see him nailing down a first team place when we have everyone available, surely thats what he wants? Otherwise might as well stay at City.

The only problem with Milner is that he would be an 'unfashionable' signing for many of the FIFA playing brigade.
He's English, widely acknowledged as a hard working pro who never causes any problems. He has won 2 PL , 1 League Cup and an FA Cup in the last 4 years - a hell of a lot more than any of our players.
Hardly ever injured (played on ave 40 games a season for 14 years), could play anywhere in the midfield diamond, anywhere in the 4 in our current system and anywhere in midfield and wide forwards in a 433.

It's another no brainer, he'd be a brilliant signing.

Personally I don't think he would be a good signing. I just don't think he fills positions we need to cover.

Otherwise I'd be all for him. I think he's a great player.

If Joe Allen hadn't come good...but he has.

I think he would be worth bringing in for the, 'experienced, winner role'.

We have, on average, a young squad and a little experience is useful, Gary Mac, Kolo etc.

On a free and if he showed he wanted to come then go for it.

I play Fifa and I wouldn't be against his signing? Just not sure why he'd leave City to play the same squad role here. And if he'd be a starter, who would he replace?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

I know quite a few City fans and they tell me he's really popular and probably second only to Aguero in their estimation because he always puts a shift in and makes things happen.

They don't want him to go but they're resigned to his leaving the PL to go to Italy. They don't see him going to anyone else in the PL

He's also pretty handy with penalties, corners and freekicks
