Milner's experience is invaluable but Lallana has really stepped up and Ox is also back.

At the very least, if a team is competing in the Club World Cup then they should be excused from the League Cup.

Scrapping the League Cup altogether would allow a couple of Premier league matches to move to their early round midweek slots. Which would mean less PL fixture congestion around Xmas/New Year.

Won’t happen obviously for money and sponsorship reasons, but other than that, there is no real need for 2 domestic cup competitions.

I wouldn't go that for. The cups are a good breeding ground for kids and that looks exactly how we are treating them. Or at least until the finals come around.

Klopp said he was in pain and for Millie that must be bad. He also said that 2 players started that played midweek and one of those was injured. He says it's not the cup, it's the timing of the games.
