Thank you brother Fredo for pointing out the error of my ways. In my defence I am a white, Australian male on the wrong side of fifty, so my 'outdated' sense of humour & apparent ignorance should come as no surprise. I am only conforming to popularly held stereotype after all. Misogynistic, racist & homophobic attitudes (among others) come with the territory.

I’d like to take this opportunity to offer my apologies to the female posters & readers of these forums if my comment caused them any offence. I’m sure they & all of womankind are eternally grateful for your moral indignation on their behalf & don’t find your comments in any way patronizing.

Which sets me to wondering, when you’re down the pub discussing gender politics with your mates, are you one of those blokes that prefaces his comments with the phrase “Speaking as a feminist…..”?

Like most people, he's different in real life. I remember Fernandinho meeting CraigH and what a nice bloke he was. I've met and had a drink with the legend that is Rashid off KT. He was quite excitable but totally harmless.

When it comes to sexism, homophobia, racism, anti-semitism and transphobia etc etc this site is far far better than most, and yet we still have very few women members. I found the @everydaysexism twitter account quite an eye-opener. I’d recommend more people have a look and maybe we can make this place even more welcoming.
