The highlights really show how much respect Ibe is given. He always occupied two defenders and sometimes you can clearly see three closely around him. That's why whenever he toe poked the ball to Hendo or Origi they always seemed to have too much space (i.e. perceived bad marking).

Its the fear that Ibe creates, and its the same as I saw when he played for Derby where his Derby teammates were getting credit when really he was the real danger. But some Derby fans labelled him as lacking game intelligence and running down blind alleys. Those same Derby strikers suddenly didn't look so good when he left for Liverpool did they?

If we bring in a marquee striker and an attacker I think it might be best to give Markovic a real chance and send Ibe to someone like Bournmouth for the season.

I'd like to see both but I'd accept just the striker as long as it's a quality signing.

No question about that but my point was that BR could use them in those roles regardless.

Both are more suited to central roles IMO due to their lack of pace. I'm not saying they're immobile but the other 3 offer genuine pace.

No question about that but my point was that BR could use them in those roles regardless.

I sincerely hope we never see Milner wide as an out and out winger, the guy has absolutely zero pace and whenever he's picked in that position to me I see it as a negative selection and more for his defensive contribution than his attacking prowess. I'd rather let teams worry about us as opposed to the other way round. I'm not a Milner fan at the best of times but seeing him out wide would tip me over the edge

It was 4-3-3 with Ibe on the right, Lallana on the left (moving centrally), with Henderson and Milner as central midfielders and Allen holding.
