Actually scratch that sorry. I'm sure it was 4141 with Origi up top and Milner in holding position. Hendo was inside right and Ibe wide right.

The first half was diamond with Ings and Lambert.
It was 4-3-3 with Ibe on the right, Lallana on the left (moving centrally), with Henderson and Milner as central midfielders and Allen holding.

I do hope Rodgers picks a formation and signs players to suit it.

Did we play the diamond today? If so, where did Ibe play?

Milner will play centrally imo, and he should do.
    Yep I agree.

I sincerely hope we never see Milner wide as an out and out winger, the guy has absolutely zero pace and whenever he's picked in that position to me I see it as a negative selection and more for his defensive contribution than his attacking prowess. I'd rather let teams worry about us as opposed to the other way round. I'm not a Milner fan at the best of times but seeing him out wide would tip me over the edge

Both are more suited to central roles IMO due to their lack of pace. I'm not saying they're immobile but the other 3 offer genuine pace.

If BR has no real plans for him this season like to see him going on a season-long loan.

Got the next few days off. Looking forward to some preseason streaming. Specially as Ibe and Origi are on show.
