Could actually be a good thing.
He came into the team, smashed it, and with a young player you'd now often face the downturn in form. There's always a danger of playing them too much too soon or knocking their confidence if you drop them, it's a fine line.
He gets time out to rest and consolidate his experiences in his mind at the perfect time and will hopefully come back fully firing.

As soon as I heard the injury and the so called return date I had a feeling he was out for good this season. Wish I was wrong.Originally posted by Scratch View PostStrange that when we announced he was coming back, people questioned how much game time he'd get. Now, it's a massive blow that he's out.

Agree. No point in rushing him back & paying for it long term. A good preseason & I look forward to seeing him in Oz in July.

Gutted. Hopefully we're nipping it in the bud and it's not going to be a long term issue.

He's cup tied anyway so hopefully it's just Burnley and Swansea. Would love to have him available for Man Utd.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHe's only young so will probably be a quick healer. If he's back in 3 weeks he'll only miss 4 games. It's 20 days until the United game so there's an outside chance he'll make that. If not he should be back for the Arsenal game on April 2nd.

Good think we have some strength in depth now, so he can take his time and come back fully fit.
