I think Pepe has the most to gain from this appointment in terms of players. We'll see the old Pepe Reina soon enough.Originally posted by Mattimetal View PostI think he'll leave this summer. You can tell he's not really bothered anymore his keeping has been below par for the past two seasons and I think he wants to go back to Spain, as he's been pretty vocal about Lfc probs in the past two summers. I'd love Vorm to replace him personally.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Whoever we could have brought in - Benitez aside - would have been a massive gamble but I'll support the new manager as usual (the exception being Hodgson, who I wanted to fail from the outset).
I'm still a little underwhelmed by it all though. When I saw Rodgers' and Martinez's names being bandied about as options it was a little like asking a condemned man if he'd prefer to be hanged or shot.
Anyway at least Rodgers did have Swansea playing much better football than the rubbish we mostly played last season, so there's at least cause for a little optimism. Just has to clear out some of Dalglish's useless players and sign some who can pass the ball and we'll be in business

feeling very good about this new start.
if he gets 4 signings this summer then I think we can start enjoying a few performances next season. we've players who are internationals are tactically capable enough to start playing his system pretty quick imho.
we passed a lot last season, if he adds some specific movements/strategies to that then im sure we can get going quite soon.
bring on August!

like probably 90% of other people, you should go away have a little read about him and then still see if you feel the same.
If you can't feel a little excited after watching the press conference and having a read, I feel sorry for you._____________________________________

Really warming to Rogers especially liked this line
" I will leave no stone unturned in my quest - and that quest will be relentless - to try and get Liverpool back on the map again as a successful football club."
Really looking forward to next season , exciting times ahead"All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

I know it's all just words at the moment but yes he has. He's mightily impressive.
