    I thinks so too.

That said, Pepe admitted today that he wanted Rafa to come back as LFC manager

I totally agree. There were a few people on here quite outspoken over the way FSG have handled this. In my opinion, they've done extremely well. And there's more to come as well, with the announcement of the technical team.

I know I'm getting carried away but he just looks right! Who gives a **** what Ayre said about continental this or that - he probably finds it awful and close to impossible to step outside commercial, corporate PR bollocks-talk. Rodgers set it out clearly - yes there will be a collaborative team to bring in players and drive the football philosophy throughout the club but he's the manager and that's that. He doesn't need some suited gimp to tell him how the team should play. He's already the anti-Roy.

I think he'll leave this summer. You can tell he's not really bothered anymore his keeping has been below par for the past two seasons and I think he wants to go back to Spain, as he's been pretty vocal about Lfc probs in the past two summers. I'd love Vorm to replace him personally.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

The most alarming thing about this is that he's 11 days younger than me, so for the first time in my life the manager of LFC is my junior. I'm an old man and my life is over.

I think this is exactly the appointment that will get his Mojo back. Brendan believes in the sweeper keeper, Rioy didn't and don't think kenny embraced it as muchas he could.....for Brendan its integral

How do you think Neil Young feels, last time LFC appointed a manager older than him was back in 1983

How excited are you about some of the players you will be working with here?

I'm really looking forward to it. I spoke to Steven Gerrard last night. That was fantastic, I had a nice chat with him. I have always worked well with people. To me, it's doesn't matter whether they're big stars or not, the club's success is the most important and every player I work with will have to be a part of the team. There are some wonderful talents. If you look at the likes of Steven; Jamie Carragher has been a wonderful player for this football club; you've got Pepe Reina, who's a top, world-class goalkeeper, and many other talents within the group. I always have a close relationship with players. I speak very openly and honestly with them so they know where they stand. I like to educate players. You train dogs, I like to educate players both on and off the field. Link: The Official

Or am I reading far too much into his choice of phrase....

Nope. Bang on. It's clear for all to see that Carragher isn't the player he once was. No shame in it father time catches up with us all.

He doesn't seem over-awed by the situation. He seems calm and composed and appears to be a man who knows exactly what he wants. I have a feeling he was meant to be successful at a big club. Hopefully its us.
