Whether you wish to be bitter about it he is one of the best managers in the world, if not the best even though he's not a likeable person he absolutely gets the maximum out of his players, his teams work hard on and off the ball and are well drilled, they're also good going forward and that is down to him at the end of the day.

That's the horrible truth really. I hate Mourinho with a bug-eyed murderous loathing just as much as the next right-minded person, but virtually all winning managers in recent times have had lots of money to spend. Cos it allows them to buy the best players.

Its easier to build a winning team when all the players you buy are experienced internationals around 25-28. Its not quite as easy doing it with players 20-23 which guardiola did with Barcelona.

Mourinho has achieved a lot and is a great manager but as a club you would want someone who takes a strong interest in the academies.

I'd take that further - even in terms of the first XI, I don't think Mourinho's methods have staying power beyond a few years at the very most. You can expect him to come in and get you some success, but not to build something lasting in the medium term let alone thinking even further ahead in terms of academy players etc. Great manager at what he does, yes, but a cunt with no interest in serving anything beyond his own image.
