You said "He is putting the national team before us and that is simply idiotic considering his injury problems.". Thats clearly proven to be completely false, are you going to admit being badly wrong?Originally posted by Arn View PostOh please **** off. It isn't proved unfounded. This time it was that but can you really say that he hasn't done it before?Originally posted by Craig_H View PostTo be fair Arn, accusing Gerrard of putting England before us is a pretty strong accusation - and since it's been proved unfounded, you'd paint yourself in a positive light if you could admit you'd got that one wrong and credit Gerrard a little for the way he handled it.
Even you have said that he played for England a few times when he shouldn't have done it because of his injury problems.
If he was fit and didn't had injury problems then it wouldn't be a problem but until he is fit then he shouldn't play for the national team.
If a player plays for the national team and he isn't fit then he is putting the national team first. Can you say that Gerrard hasn't played for the national team carrying an injury?Stop the cyberhate

Hahahaha talking about the past now. You were referring to the future and the upcoming game v Montenegro when criticising him. Stop trying to worm your way out of it and be a man.Originally posted by Arn View PostIt isn't proved unfounded. This time it was that but can you really say that he hasn't done it before?

I have you on ignore Chris so don't bother. I haven't answered any of your posts for weeks before yesterday but when you have real time on then you can still see posts from the people you ignore if you are not logged in.
You promised not to answer my posts but did you care about it. No. You didn't had any plans at all to do that.

You're missing the point and going over old ground - the issue we're talking about is the here and now - you said he put England before us (and you were specifically referring to this Montenegro squad), but he hasnt put England first - he basically told Capello 'dont pick me' in as professional a manner as possible, and it's worked. You pre-judged the situation to be fair and it might have been wiser to just trust our captain and wait.Originally posted by Arn View PostIt isn't proved unfounded. As it turns out, forgetting the past, on this individual occasion, you got it wrong and as i said, it'd save you a lot of flak if you had it within you to admit that and give the skipper a bit of credit.
You wont though, which is your right. But dont ask why people find reason to criticise you for it.

I said that If he plays then he is putting the national team before us. Arn - for the love of God and for everybody's sanity.... please refrain from this unwarranted attack on Steven Gerrard.. The heartbeat of LFC.
The man stated he felt he wasn't ready for a call up to England...Capello didn't call him. Enough said.
Give him credit - he's obviously busting a gut to play against the Manc Cunts in two weeks time - he's diplomatically removed himself from the firing line for England call up - for that, i salute him...
The next two weeks will be crucial in Stevie's recovery from his reconstructive groin surgery.. i'm so glad that it'll be in Melwood...
Drop this silly unwarranted attack on our club captain...

Be honest though mate, you had it in your mind that he's the kind to put England first and therefore, would playOriginally posted by Arn View PostI said that If he plays then he is putting the national team before us. Well, he won't play so he isn't putting the national team before us this time.
So you admit that, on this occasion, he has put Liverpool first.
Since you've criticised him for allegedly putting England first in the past, how about giving him some credit for putting us first on this occasion?

This is what I said.Originally posted by Arn View PostHe should just say no. Begging not to play isn't enough.
If Capello picks him then he will play. That is the problem. He is putting the national team before us and that is simply idiotic considering his injury problems.
How many of you think that he wouldn't played if Capello picked him?
Gerrard should have said no over a week ago.
Now he said no either yesterday or today. That means that he hadn't ruled out playing for the national team until then.
Now I respect him because he said no. Now he is putting us ahead of the national team something he should do the rest of his career from now on. He is to injury prone to continue to play for them and for us.
He shouldn't have begged not to play. He should as I said have said no over a week ago.Stop the cyberhate

Why on earth does it matter when he said no? Good grief. Your account has to be someone on the wind up surely? Theres no way this is a genuine person.
