He knows he's close to the one prize that has eluded him his entire career. He probably thought he'd never see another opportunity after 2009. With Benitez leaving, the Hodgson debacle, and further decline under Kenny - things just weren't looking good. But here he is, playing in one of the most exciting and entertaining LFC teams I can remember (and I've been watching since the 70s), and only five games from glory.
He's clearly motivated & playing fantastically well. If there's one player in the premier league who deserves to win a title it's him. I'm only assuming, but every single one his team mates probably wants to do it as much for him as for themselves, the club and the fans.

Obviously there are two legitimate schools of thought - one in terms of club legend (trophies, longevity, loyalty, ability etc) and the other a case of pure talent, skill and footballing ability. I reckon Gerrard is edging Kenny now when it comes to the first category - and certainly will if we win the league. In the second category it's obviously Suarez by an absolute mile.
- You can see that intensity in his face and how much this means to him and the club. If City can win next week then they'll deserve the title as I can't see anything other than 100% from us in that game.
