Valuations are relative and depends on a number of things. Let's not get distracted by the amount being purported. In a nutshell, he meant that the squad the new manager inherited (it had Mascherano in it when he left) was nowhere as bad as Hodgson pointed out in one of his disastrous press reports.

Now if you intimate that Torres' value has gone down since then (and maybe a few other players), you'd have to ask Hodgson as to why he's made him/them play as poorly as this.

Evening gents. First of all, I know you wont read this out on air because it goes against your anti Benitez agenda, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and the chance to prove me wrong, but I dont expect you to.

With regards to Benitez's comments tonight, I heard Ray Parlour asking why Rafa's getting involved - well perhaps Ray, it is because Hodgson spent a fair amount of his time during the last few weeks, criticising Benitez's signings, calling them flops and stating that they aren't good enough - bear in mind these are now Hodgson's squad - so great man management there from Hodgson, telling the world his players aren't very good and destroying their confidence.

Second point - all you anti Benitez lot keep going on about how he left Liverpool 'in a mess' etc.

Well, why was Benitez sacked? Why was it 'time for him to go', as Ray put it? It was because he finished 7th and this wasnt good enough, right?

So if Rafa Benitez left behind such a dreadful squad and a mess, why wouldnt 7th be good enough for a 'dreadful squad' ?

Either Rafa left behind a decent squad which should have done better than 7th - or the squad is dreadful, therefore finishing 7th place is a fairly decent achievement, with such a 'dreadful' squad. Which is it gents? Because you can't have it both ways - even though you obviously try to, in order to feed your anti Benitez agenda.

All because he's not a 'good ENGLISH manager'. Xenophobia lives on.

I didnt go 'on and on' - my email was exactly as i posted above. He didnt like the last paragraph because it proves what bollocks they are talking - so he obviously chose not to read it out. The cunt.

If he'd done it before the end of the show, i'd have emailed in again and told them what ****s they were being by ignoring the key point of the email that makes them look like idiots.
