If he ever comes back to Liverpool it won't be as Manager.

Despite the unpleasantness about the way he left I still really like Mascher.

I think if any of our recent players ever go on to manager us it will be either Mascherano or Alonso, rather than Gerarrd or Carragher.

Phoning Ramos for what? Love the lack of context in that tweet.

Masharano, really? I thought he was excellent for us and deserved his move but I've never really though of him as having the capability to be a manager. Probably due to his move to the uk due to the money and has probably clouded my view doubting his love for the game.

Would like to hear why you think this.

Totally agree with you about Gerrard and Carragher.

I could see Masch as a no 2. Absolutely balling at the player from the sideline while a more calculated Carragher watches on.

In all fairness, they'd set up a defensively sound team.

Heard several Barcelona players say he is the most tactically aware player they have seen. Guardiola has said similar things.

He obviously has a dominant personality and been a key personality in all the teams I've seen him in.

He has also worked with a varied sampling of (top) managers. Seeming to have good relationships with and learning from each.

Rafa Benitez has shot down new Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce, who has claimed in his autobiography that Liverpool’s Champions League win in 2005 had nothing to do with the Spaniard.

Speaking to Spanish television show Primer Toque (cited in Daily Mail), Benitez responded to Big Sam’s jibes in typically understated fashion – but his feelings were clear.

“Do you know who Sam Allardyce is? Do you know how many trophies he has won…? Well that’s my answer. It is what happens when someone has a book to sell. His opinion does not have a lot of value,” the undefeated Real Madrid manager said in a lengthy interview.

Considering Benitez has won La Liga, the Champions League, Europa League and various domestic cups all over Europe, while his ‘rival’ has only secured the Irish first division with Limerick, we can’t really tell why Allardyce is picking a fight with a managerial heavyweight.
