I thought he was excellent last night.

I'm not going to blame him for their first as he slipped and at the end of the day it was a really good Spurs goal with terrific movement.

It's bloody hard to defend against that. If we're going to blame Sakho for that then you can blame pretty much all the other players that were involved in trying to prevent the goal.

Or that the rest of the team performed worse in those areas.

Trouble with Sakho he always reminds me of the horse falling over the excersise ball.

Probably tries to take more risks than he should, but I suspect thats under instruction because Can does the exact same on the other side, he's just much better at it being a midfielder and most importantly ****ing great.

Yep clearly under instruction. He can have three men closing him down - most players under most managers would just welly it down the park. When do you ever see Sakho doing that? Never. Always hangs on to it, backs into his man, tries a bit of skill to get round them then fizzes it to a red shirt. Much more risky than just ****ting it anywhere but almost all of the time it works and we keep possession.

I'd love to see the couple of trick moves he made against Bolton again. Was like when someone goes mental on the skill stick on Fifa

I've noticed a few of our players going to pass and then waiting or delaying and once the space opens up playing it forwards. Looks easy but it takes composure. Markovic does it a lot, Sakho, Moreno, Coutinho all do it. In fact most of the team does it It's very refreshing to watch.

Why do people keep putting up this gif of Andy Carroll falling down against Newcastle?
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Mamadou Sakho, the painter! The Liverpool defender - who looks very awkward on the ball - volunteers to get involved with a local charity and helps to restore a house
                        • France defender Mamadou Sakho chose to help a charity restore a house
                        • The Liverpool man spent two hours painting and moving furniture
                        • He bought some treats for his co-workers and signed a shirt for them

His form alongside Martin Skrtel and Emre Can has turned Liverpool's defence into one of the meanest in the Premier League since Christmas.

But Mamadou Sakho has shown his softer side by volunteering to help out a local charity in Bootle restore a house.

The France defender exchanged the red of Liverpool's kit for builder's whites as he assisted the charity An Hour For Others with some handiwork, as well as donating a shirt to be auctioned off for the cause.

Sakho wrote on a shirt handed to the builders 'Pour (for) A.H.F.D, keep up the good work, Y.N.W.A (You'll Never Walk Alone), Sakho.'

The cause itself looks to see people donate time rather than money to help others out and Sakho was clearly impressed with the sense of community.

He made contact with the charity himself after seeing them on the internet and helped them for a couple of hours, before going to the local shop buy some treats for those who he had helped with the decorating.

Sakho's next appearance for Liverpool could come on Saturday, when his team take on Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Selhurst Park does not hold fond memories for Liverpool supporters after they squandered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 last season, before losing 3-1 in this campaign.

Obviously the club gets players involved in numerous ways (all those Christmastime visits to Alder Hey etc) but you don't typically hear of players electing to do community service of their own volition. This is really nice to see. Saw an interview Sakho gave with Le Club du Dimanche in which he teared up at the memory of his father, who passed away when the former was only 13. So touching! He seems like a lovely person.

                                He's great isn't he

I haven't known a player to be so involved in the community, he really is someone to admire.. Definitely a good role model not just to the kids but other older pros who don't do much.
