Meh hardly a surprise a dope test was failed given who the chairman of the Sakho fan club is.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'm a big fan of his but I do fear the worst. Banned substances are seriously in the spotlight. I can see a big example being made of him. He will only have himself to blame.

How about we all wait and see what he's actually taken, the circumstances behind it and if its proven, then see what the ban is before we decide contracts and punishment?

He hasn't even been found guilty of anything yet!
Mutu was sacked, then sued for £14m by Chelsea.

Not that I'm suggesting that this is comparable.
          Oh I don't know.

That was the FA too. Uefa have banned a lad in 2015 for 4 years and Abel Xavier got 18 months a few years back off them. All I'm saying is let's wait and see. I've no doubt David Gills Uefa won't want to waste this opportunity.

Did you buy them from Sakho in exchange for some pills?

What a moron. Fat burning pills

UEFA will try **** us good and proper, no doubts in my mind about that. We just need to give them the slightest bit of ammo. The only silver lining is that he's an important French player. Platini might be having a word so it doesnt stuff up France's Euro hopes.

Unless the pills was prescribed by the club doctor or doctor of the national team, I highly doubt Sakho will be playing in the Euros.

Whatever the outcome of this it should be common practice for clubs to test their own players to ensure they are not taking anything that is banned and to help raise awareness in the players themselves that they need to be checking with the club before they take anything.

Regardless of who may have told him to take them, if he is found guilty of having a banned substance in his test he will almost certainly be facing a facing a lengthy ban, as ultimately he is responsible. If it was given to him by a club or national team doctor that could be a mitigating factor which might reduce a ban.

I suspect the only way he could be playing at the Euros is if the hearing doesn't take place until late in the summer, and hence it is up to the French FA if they want to pick him (though I would assume they like us would make him unavailable for selection while this is hanging over him).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

...or if the B sample is negative.

Weren't the sprinters Tyson Gay & Asafa Powell banned for taking oxilofrine? That chemical name stuck in my head for some reason.
