Think he knows that. Just the fact it was posted in the Mama thread, so he's being a tad mischeiveous.

So you’d be happier if we kept Benteke on the books so we had a negative spend, or spent and extra £50m on Karius, Matip and Grujic, just so we can have a negative spend? You don’t see it as a positive that we have strengthen the squad massively (the Mane signing alone) without breaking the bank meaning we’ll have cash to spend if we need to in January or more importantly, next year if we have CL to offer and can attract the sort of player that’s worth paying the extra for?

Ahh, good point. I’m sure one of the main stipulations when Klopp signed his new 6 year contract was that he doesn’t ‘win stuff’, no way FSG are committing to that.
I'd be happier if we went out and tried to sign the best players we possibly could with the money we have

Without CL or wages of 200k+, that is exactly what we are doing.

Its only a matter of time before Lovren is taken into the flanks and gets arse raped again. Sakho will know that he's our best centre back when fit. He's just got to stick it out but he needs to get his **** together because he's obviously rubbing kloppo up the wrong way.

Sakho on loan to Stoke seems to be the latest rumour

A loan to them would be silly in my view...... i hope it is just a bit of play from the club to help Sakho realise how close he is to being a Stoke player.

I kind of have the feeling that the root cause of Sakho being out of favour could be not him dicking around in America - but more about him being so ****in amateur about these Kolo-supplied diet pills.

It did occur to me that maybe he can't control his weight without using them.

It was mentioned on the Redmen TV today that Matip will probably end up at the African Cup of Nations this year with Cameroon, along with Mane for Senegal, so loaning Sakho may not be in our best interests, unless it's a 6 month deal.

I know others may argue that Joe Gomez could slot in there too, but I wouldn't want us to be counting on youth too much, especially after a long term injury. We've no idea what the injury situation will be like in January either. If everyone's fit by the start of the ACON, we'll have Lovren, Klavan, Lucas and Gomez as our centre-back options. Then again, we may suffer from injuries, and we've no idea how our progress will be like in the FA Cup and EFL Cup by then.

Even a six month loan would be no good as the ACON will be over in six months from now so Sakho would only be returning after the competition has ended.

Oops, it'd be less than a 6 month loan deal. 4 months?

Yeah would be closer to that. Could not really see any top ten premiership club wanting to loan in a senior player for so short a spell, especially a player that would be expecting game time.

Has he played recently? When I last researched in teh summer, he hadn't played in the last year or so (for whatever reason) and wasn't expected to go.

Can't believe his fall from grace. He's literally gone from hero to zero, bit gutted as I love Sakho.

Liverpool have told Mamadou Sakho he needs to go out on loan in order to save his Anfield career.

The France international has already rejected the chance to join either Stoke City or West Brom on a temporary deal.

However, the Reds are still actively looking to loan the centre-back out prior to tomorrow night’s transfer deadline.

Jurgen Klopp has informed Sakho that he does have a future at Liverpool but he wants him to play regularly elsewhere over the coming months to prove both his fitness and his professionalism

Digging in here it seems, not sure if it'll stand him in good stead with Klopp, but there's clearly something not working here.
