Bad first half, got a lot better and won a lot of balls in the 2nd half. Occasionally he tries to be almost too precise with his forward passing and it can look bad (guilty twice in the 1st half), but his front foot passing is a huge plus for us in terms of getting our attacks going. He played a couple of lovely balls down the line for Moreno tonight.

Don't know what he was doing when he left Kane all alone for their first. Nor do I know why he didn't kick it out when on the touch line and hemmed in by Dembele. Can't Normally get away with making those kind of mistakes in big games.

It wasn't his best game to be fair, far fro it & I think that proves just how misleading stats can be.

Anyways thought he improved in the second half & sure i'd give him man of the match for that rugby tackle

Like I said his (very rare) loose passes can look bad and people tend to remember them, but he did it twice in the game as I remember, probably out of about 50 passes or something. So while the rare mistakes stand out, everything else he's bringing to the table is helping make us a much better side. It is patently obvious.
