It could be that simple; BR doesn't feel he can rely on him being fit enough to put together a settled defensive lineup.

I mean I'm no fan of Skrtel but to his credit he seems to be fit and ready every game of the season for us and I'm sure he must on occasion be carrying niggles

We were ****e at stoke, so were they though. The whole game was so lacking in quality that it wouldn't have looked out of in the Unibond.

I think we'll just agree to disagree Mr Rodgers Superfan

Spending nearly £300m & still producing that sort of mediocrity?

Struggling to beat a Bournemouth team which frankly had a perfectly good goal disallowed & lets not forget our winning goal was offside

I figure it's pointless arguing with you guys as we obviously have different ideas of what is acceptable & not

        Anyway, onwards & all that

Surely the only thing that really matters is that after two games we have 6 points? We need to improve & I don't think anyone thinks differently on that but so far we've got what we wanted with the 6 points.

Tough fixtures coming up but so far it's a good start to the league campaign.

We definitely do. Since when has winning games at the start of the season, including at a venue where we recently got smashed been deemed "not acceptable"?

Then again, you are the fella who said we were lucky to draw v Arsenal last season when we dominated the whole game and every stat going.

It would make absolutely zero sense to sell Sakho. We'd obviously need to replace him - judging from the selections so far, that is Toure at the moment, who was 4th choice last season!

We all know that signing a new CB would be extremely difficult. We've no CL and even the clubs that have are finding it hard - see United - and it would be extremely expensive (prob out of our reach) even if we could persuade them to come. And tbh, if you're a top CB would you sign for us if you know that the Lovren-Skrtel partnership is first choice? Madness.

I guess the other option would be Gomez as back up...an 18 year old who has never played CB in the PL and is playing well at LB anyway. Or Illori who has never played a PL game at all, and seems to be behind Toure anyway, going by selections so far.

I've got a bad feeling that we will sell Sakho if we can get our money back on him. I just hope that the 'right deal' also means a replacement lined up. But I have my doubts.

The mad thing is that even if we did sign him BR would probably partner him with Lovren!

Well according to Olivery Kay we are keen to sell him and if we are given a reasonable offer he will be gone

I said something similar after the Stoke game, Rodgers might prefer a settled back 4 rather than having to change the side for a player he may regard as injury prone.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
