    From today's Echo

The investigation is ongoing with the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body expected to announce the date of a disciplinary hearing later this month.

Sakho will plead mitigating circumstances in a bid to lessen the extent of the suspension. The £18million defender could be sidelined for anything from six months to two years.
That rug really tied the room together.

He is currently on a UEFA(?) ban provisionally for a month isn't he? presumably the hearing will take place before this expires assuming that this is done in any professional manner (which it probably won't be knowing the football authorities). Presumably any period he is banned for would be back dated to this point (which is not the same time as the club stopped picking him). If a hearing does take place before the summer I would expect the ban to be longer than 6 months, because as you say he could be back by the end of October which means he would probably only miss ~20 club games plus the Euros.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Unsurprisingly, France have left him out of their squad for the Euros.

Europa League Final & The Euros go bye bye. What a disaster.

here's hoping for that outcome at least.

Stupid in the modern game to be done for it though

This situation is messed up on UEFA's part, apparently his provisional ban ends today and this was supposed to have had a hearing before it ended. Presumably any ban he gets will take into account any time he was provisionally banned (i.e. the 30 days) but if they hold off on a hearing then his ban will be served in the season rather than in the summer, after making him unavailable for the end of the season and the Euros but not officially banning him for some of that time would seem somewhat underhand IMO.

Should order Sevilla to play a rematch. We'd never have lost with him playing.
