once its not too long I would be happy to stick by him, the fans have taken to him, which makes it all the more disappointing ... if he gets a 6 month ban now he'll be back in time for the Christmas run in, to complete for place. Look at Kolo, he ****ed up, hes 35 and still playing at a top level. Plenty of good times still to be had with Mamo, that said if its 2 years the club will have no choice but to tear up his contract.Originally posted by G View PostSome journo's said it was a fat burner. Uefa have said nowt. Nobody has proven him to be using performance enhancers or proven him to be cheating. I'll wait until they actually tell us what it was before I judge him and even then I won't know why he was taking it unless he tells us. I'm very disappointed in him and gutted he'll be missing but I won't hang the fella cos we've all made mistakes. He wasn't pushing heroine to kids. If he's the devil then Kolo should be ****ed out of the club too since he's also a "convicted drugs cheat".
I am not expected anything other than a ban at this stage. Timing is bloody awful.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

He's getting a ban, he's accepted his guilt. There's no way around it and he deserves one. I agree with you on the course of action. 6 months and I'd stick with him, anything over that and you'd have to think long and hard. People can do and say as they like but I won't be calling him a cheat unless its proven that he was taking whatever it was for that purpose.
if he's taking it as a masking agent then he's two things, 1. an idiot for taking something which as you say is also banned to hide something that's banned
and he's also a cheat who deserve's all he gets.
If however he's taking it to burn fat then quite simply he's just a fat bloke trying to lose weight and made a mistake taking something he shouldn't. No need for castigation on that one.

It's a bit of a straw man though, nobody has reacted as if he's the devil, or be hanged or whatever.Originally posted by G View PostWhat facts?
Some journo's said it was a fat burner. Uefa have said nowt. Nobody has proven him to be using performance enhancers or proven him to be cheating. He took a banned substance and none of us know why so I'll wait until they actually tell us what it was before I judge him and even then I won't know why he was taking it unless he tells us. I'm very disappointed in him and gutted he'll be missing but I won't hang the fella cos we've all made mistakes. He wasn't pushing heroin to kids. Kolo was banned and served his ban, he wasn't playing for us at the time so while a blot on his record it's not a big deal for LFC. Sakho cost us £18m and is a first team player looking at a prolonged ban, of course it's a different situation.
It's too early to label him a drugs cheat, I agree, we'll have to see how the evidence stacks up, but I think that if it seems deliberate, i.e. wasn't a recent rule change, a prescription product that he didn't realise contained a banned substance etc, then his contract should be terminated, irrespective of the length of any ban.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

For me its very black and white, you have drugs that are allowed and drugs that are not. Very very few athletes go through the entire career clean. I have been saying for months now to a buddy of mine, I bet drug abuse is systematic in football, the amount of money on the table both for players, agents, clubs, its completely to be expected drugs will creep into the game. For me the football club should manage this, they are in charge of the players .. honestly I would micro manage there health and wellness down to a micro hair. I wont judge the guy, **** happens, but its disappointing, hes ****ed the team at the worse possible time.
Its not the best look for the club either, tell you what, we get beat in the Semis of the Europa .. watch the vibe change from mild indifference to hate filled bile in a heartbeat ... sadleyAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

People will have differing views on this. I just can't get my head around why - if has been the case - he's taken something only cheats and bodybuilders take. People who are idling by on <12%bf simply have nothing to gain bar the performance enhancements.
No room for drug taking in sport though. Long term bans should be common place. There's a fine line between drugs and prescription/supplements. Let's hope it's that.

I've come to the conclusion. That I really dont give two ****s what happens to the player. In fact, I dont give a **** if it was intentional or not. He was tested. The results were positive (in a negative way). He will be punished accordingly. End of story and maybe a career. Whatever happens isnt going to change my life. So who gives......
