What beef do UEFA have with us? FWIW I think a harsh ban is good in the grand scheme as it sends a message. But obviously it ****s us up.Originally posted by Harv View PostThats him ****ed then. I don't know what the substance was but it may be the case that 2years is entirely justified.Originally posted by Harv View PostThats him ****ed then. UEFA will use him as a bunny to **** us over. He'll get a 2 year ban, you watch.
I saw the list of bans before and they seemed incredibly lenient, i mean 6months for ephedrine, FFS.
This nonsense of putting it down as a fat burner - these are nearly always stimulants so what mitigating factors he may suggest will be water thin IMO.

If he gets a lengthy ban, say 12-24 months, does the club still have to pay his wages if he was the one who breached terms of the playing contract by taking banned substances?
Would save us a a bit of money and maybe allow for a replacement to be brought in...
Still can't believe the pillock has done this.

He is under contract to 2020 which for Sakho could be a personal financial disaster, the club will not just shrug this off - he'll be sued for breach of contract and FSG will want as much of the outstanding balance of the current deal recovered as possible.Originally posted by Tribute View PostIf he gets a lengthy ban, say 12-24 months, does the club still have to pay his wages if he was the one who breached terms of the playing contract by taking banned substances?

let's hope his "mitigating factors" stand up to scrutiny and he's only gone for six months.
