What a joke shop, I suppose they needed more time, it;s only been nearly 4 months since the test.

I feel for him. Perhaps he brought this on himself but now that he's been cleared, it seems like four months of absence for nothing. And as a result, he had to miss out on selection for the Euros, and his national team is now in the final. Bah!

Hope he takes legal action against them. This **** storm has cost him massively.

                      Great news

Need to hear the details, but to be slightly fair to UEFA it does seem like the fat burner or whatever was actually on the banned list, and it is any athlete's responsibility to know they aren't taking anything banned. That he appears to have been able to prove it didn't have enhancing effects so shouldn't be banned is kind of lucky for him really.

Don't be fair to uefa they've just admitted a mistake and ruined such a big part of his career. Great news but sad for him too. Had to sit and watch his club team in a final and his national team reach (and probably win) one.

BREAKING: Liverpool release statement regarding Sakho
Mamadou Sakho has won the fight to prove he is not a drugs cheat after UEFA accepted he did not have a case to answer.
The long running saga was resolved in a Paris hotel on Friday when Sakho’s lawyers argued he had not contravened their anti-doping laws.
Sakho served a 30-day suspension in May, which ruled him out of the Europa League final as well as Euro 2016, and he was faced with the prospect of another considerable ban of anything between six months and two years.
The statement read: 'Liverpool Football Club welcomes today’s decision from UEFA to dismiss the case against Mamadou Sakho, confirming that he did not commit any doping violation.
'We are pleased for Mamadou that he can now resume his playing career.
'Mamadou said: "I am happy that this is finally over. It’s been a difficult time for me but I knew I had done nothing wrong. I am looking forward to getting back in the team and playing again.'
